Where should I go when I get there?
If you are attending a worship service, you can go directly to the building where the service is being held. If you want further information about our church or if you want to attend a Sunday Bible Study or know where to bring your children, park and ask one of our friendly greeters. They will be more than happy to help you and your family find your way around.

The ministry of FBCLS is only accomplished by many people working together in the strength the Lord gives to exercising the spiritual gifts each one has been given.
We believe every member is a minister, though there are some who are on staff here at FBCLS.
Our Pastorial staff includes those who the church has voted on to lead the church, or specific areas of ministry in the church.
Support Staff (AKA Ministry Assistants)
The support staff includes individuals who help with the everyday runnings of the church, as well as support and help the Pastorial staff and church leaders.
In January of 1946, Loy T. Chandler Sr. had a vision of a church in Lithia Springs. Calls were made and a meeting was set up for that very day. All those contacted came and prayer meetings were set. God continued to work rapidly with this group. Glenn Florence agreed to donate land in downtown Lithia Springs and the building construction began.
On April 17, 1946, Rev. J. A. Patterson was called as the first pastor of First Baptist and he served until November, 1952. Rev. Marion H. Beaver was called as our second pastor on May 6, 1953 and he served for more than 25 years. Dr. Beaver returned to First Baptist in January, 1988 as the Associate Pastor of Senior Adults. In September, 1979, Rev. Robert L. Whitmire was called as pastor. He served for more than 25 years.
